Error code 12

Hi there

Last night i was playing WA and when my sim returned home from egypt she and her family were all frozen.
All there needs started to slide into the red. Then I recieved a message saying that there was an error code 12 and to
check the read me file. I did this but this didn't help. What is this message and will it happen again. I have emailed
customer support.

Try taking out your save file for that family from your Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Saves folder (like move the save file to your desktop or something), then go back into the game and do "save as..."

EDIT: Earlier today I found this list that had the error codes and what they mean. I just found it today, its a World File Save Failure if you wanted to know. Here's the blog post, which also describes the work around in more detail.

Well, I guess by now you might have resolved the issue. Anyway, one thing that I would like to tell you is to save the file always and make a backup of it somewhere so that in the future, if at all an error or hung up occurs, you can always go back to this file which you have last saved!
