whats the deal with aging?
Im probably a bit slow on this topic seeing i havent been on for a while. And if i am im sorry  {unsure} lol
but i was on snootysims today and it said we would still only be having 7 age groups Sad
i dont no if its final or not though i hope its not cause i think gradual again would be great, only if the sims dont get older when ur not playing them. So like ur sims get older little bit by day, and not a big jump like toddler to child for eg.
Anyway what do u guys rekon about this?

yes toddler,child,teen,young-adult,adult,Elder
but in sims 3 you dont need to go to university to be a young adult.
ben bell (the executive producer) said if there were to be gradual aging he would need to make 100 age groups (get the point lol ) /
they go the same as the sims 2 but if you make the A family with 2 adults and 1 kid then the B family with 2 adults and a kid. then you play the A family till the kid grow up since the whole town ages with you the B kid will also grow up, but i think there is a way where if you go play a family then come back to one you could go back to how it used to be.
Hope i helped Smile

I LOST MY SIGNATURE! No, Really I did. Sad

Re: whats the deal with aging?
hehe yeah u did thanks  Smile
i was talking to someone about this last night and they said they would only have 7 age groups. And they saif for eg they would have a child but it may turn into a teenager in 5 days for eg but in those 5 days they will get a little older but it wont be counted as an age group, if that makes sense lol
is that what they are doing though ??

Re: whats the deal with aging?
no they cant do that because if they had gradual aging it would be like this:

you have toddler

he has baby clothes

he grows up in to child
he has baby clothes

he grows into teen
he has baby clothes

and so on

also when do they go from one school to another or when can they get jobs when do they retire

it would take like 5 more years to make it lol

Re: whats the deal with aging?
I read over at EA UK community board that Mr A wrote about some things he learned while at The Sims 3 Producer Day, and from what he wrote

" He also mentioned that you're able to adjust the life span of a Sim. This means that all stages of life either become shorter or longer depending on your choice."

Its up to us in how fast our sims age. Or could be reading it wrong
