problem with religion is it opens up a whole other can of worms
i think the sims were better without it anyway
maybe there could be a completely original religion with sims 3, that would stop any controversy
like the sims meeting up at midnight and dancing the funky chicken whilst praising the llama god?

It is. That's the reason they haven't put it in before now. Not to mention, isn't it much simpler to just make your own personal religion for your own Sims?

Look over at the Boolprop website, they've got Sims worshipping the Porcelain God that is the Toilet, and don't forget the religion of Cheese.

If you want a religion that is "real," then you could always download small items to represent that in your Sims household.

The christmas pack came with a um... dang I can't think my mind is only on sims 3. But that Candle thing that the Jewish Light I believe. It was interesting, so They kind of brought some religion into the sims 2, so I could see them bringing a little more into the sims 3, maybe as an expansion even so that not every one has to get it. That might solve some fighting.

I'm not against the Idea, I'll say that much.

I am neither for or against. But like politics, religion seems to start arguments so I can't see EA adding them to the game.

I'll just say one thing, religion is a bad idea because SOME religions (I'm not going to name names)  take things very seriously.
And a lot of non-believers play The Sims.

I wouldn't mind having religion in the game. It would be neat for Sims to have their own religion, and for a Sims personality to be either "religious" or "atheist".
