Um, well this question has been asked dozens of times but somehow never gets boring. I'm just doing the typical, what most people are doing, I'll get creative later once I've learned about the game a little more.
Making a single female Sim, young adult. Starting off in a small cheap house, furnishing it and experimenting with CASt, getting her a job, exploring the neighbourhood and meeting peeps, then get her married and move into a bigger home, have kids yada yada yada. Obviously it'll be more fun that that with all the quirks the game has [I just realised how boring it sounds in words].

1. First I will play with the features in CAS.
2. Take person from step 1 and move them into a house.
3. Play with them for about 30 min or longer.

If bed time, go to bed before going on.

5. Create a pre-determined/planned sim
6. Repete steps 2-6

I'll be doing the same as Cassie except I plan on exploring the neighborhood on my own before heading to CAS where I know I'll obviously spend WAY too much time.

If ya gotta know the order

1. Open box and pop in CD
2. Dig up Prima (if I buy it before going home on the 26th)Read Manual/Prima while loading CD
3. Once game starts, i'll look around the hood on my own ooooinnnnggg and ahhhiinnnggg checking out EVERYTHING including houses and random sims.
4. After familiarizing myself i'll most likely head to CAS just bursting with excitement
5. I'll stay in CAS for hours just checking out all the great improvements and creating my young adult female sim
6. I'll take her to furnish her first home, have her go out and hunt for a job, make a few new friends and potential mates and then- i'll play her story
