Re: 8:08 wish for NO Securcom in the sims 3 (lol)
The 10 day authorisation feature has been removed.
![]() From what I'm gathering, SecuROM is the same thing that's been in a few of the old EPs. Now it seems they were trying to "toughen it up," make it harder to "break the rules." But due to the negative response, and possibly a light bulb on their end, they gave up trying to bulk up the thing. Which is going to prove to be in our favour, I hope. well if people won't buy the game because of securom they might loose more money from that then from people downloading the game

Exactly. So hopefully they won't be too harsh with it.

We'll al just SAY we wont buy it if that lame thing is on there... then they'll get all nervous and give in to our 'threats'.

Re: 8:08 wish for NO Securcom in the sims 3 (lol)
To be honest it's all a bit pointless anyway. Usually when a new security feature, such as SecuROM, is released, those hacker folks normally only take a few weeks to get round it. So if people are determined enough to download their games illegally, there is very little they can do to stop them. And the added security the companies then put on the CD/DVD can end up hurting the legitimate gamers who actually pay for their games.
Unfortunately, there just isn't a viable solution to stop the pirate games at the moment. {pirate} Those hackers are just too darn good at getting round the security. I'm always happy to help! If you need anything, just send me a personal message (PM) and I'll try help if I can... |
