So? I don't care if my best friend is a girl my age, or a pink candy-eating lizard, she's still my best friend, because of the person she is. I form opinions of people based on their personality, not on whether they're my Mum or somebody else.

My mother, she is overserious, kind, slow (I can get away with anything), naggy, and a good person to talk too (as long as you can stand the possible nagging). She is also highwayphobic, which is annoying. But she spoils us, and is giving. She's isn't really strict. My dad is the opposite...selfish and self-centered, yet kisses the butt of his friend.

You're young now, but it really isn't uncommon. I met quite a few people that didn't care about their mothers. I had a friend like that in high school.

I remember making a joke about his mom, a mean joke, and he said, "Yeah, you're right."

Beated me...

But not all mothers are the sterotypical loving mother with hugs and kisses. There are bad mothers out there, who just care for their kids, just because it is the law.

My aunt who is a principal is talking to this mother now. This lady gotten a new boyfriend, but doesn't want her child. She just wants to start off fresh, just her and her boyfriend. The mother was accidentely knocked up and kept that child, who is eight. Now the baby isn't cute anymore, and is eight years old, and he's in the way, she don't want him. She isnt' thinking about what the child would feel or anything.

My mum's eccentric. A bit grumpy sometimes. Just earlier tonight she was in her room, Dirty Dancing album on full blast, singing and dancing around the room. I know this because I was babysitting my cousin in the garden, and you can see her bedroom window from there. It was not pretty.
I love my mum though. She's very stubborn.. but so am I. And she's looked after me all my life, despite not having many people to help her [she's a single mum] and having practically no money. She must be a good mum because normally, people from broken families like mine [my mum and dad have never been married, my dad, his girlfriend and my half-brother don't live with us] end up having rotten children. I'm not perfect or intelligent but I'm not a bad person. Smile

Plus, it's always been me and my mum. Like mum like daughter. We have a close bond. {yes}

It's a good job you didn't ask what we think of our dad's... because the answer would be VERY different... {glare}

Sure would had been very different. It's really sad that I share the opinion of my dad, as a lot of people my age do in my area. It's not hard hearing about a deadbeat father, but it isn't as common hearing about a deadbeat mother.

I love my dad, but he makes my blood boil. He doesn't call us or see us, if it isn't helping him. Like let's take his grandma's death. He is gonna call me and pull me out of school when she was on her deathbed. Then bring me to her, expecting me to hug her, and I haven't saw this dying lady, but one other time in my life. Then he is getting all these complements like, "You are a good father" "She is so big." "You really support your daughter."

The best thing he did was buy my PS3 for my graduation in 2007, which was the only thing he bought me in years. No birthday presents or visits, no Christmas presents and visits. I would give him a present, and he won't even give one back.

When I need him, he always have some excuse. Like when I needed him to show me this one place, he is gonna call later that day, saying he had car problems, though he didn't have care problems before. Then the next week, it was light rain, but sunny, and his excuse, you guessed it. Though when his friend Billy calls, he's kissing his butt all the way. Billy became a Jehovah's Witteness, so did my dad, until Billy stopped. Billy joined the navy, so did my dad. Billy wanted to go out, so did my dad when he promised my mom a good night. Billy lives with his wife and kids, my dad doesn't. Billy has a nice wife, daddy has a total b**ch that cusses him out for a wife. Billy jumps off the bridge, my dad jumps too.

He don't do that for us.
