RE: The New Official Movie Thread
Negative thoughts about nuns? I had a "wonderful" nun in primary school who was slightly to the right of Hitler. Always put me off them.
Watched "Kelly's Heroes" again last night. How did they ever get away with that? ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: The New Official Movie Thread
Finally got to watch Fast and Furious 6 last night. It was good fun and all but I found myself having to suspend my belief one too many times, I mean seriously this movie has the longest runway ever. Not to mention how cheesy, cringe-worthy and awful some of the dialogue and acting was.
I honestly feel that the series could've finished up with fast five considering how fulfilling and satisfying it was, although I guess there are still a few more loose ends that should hopefully tied up in the next one, but I'm willing to bet there will be an 8th film. But still it could've finished up at five and then had a couple of spin-offs. Anyway, I just watched Juno again as it was on TV. Still love it. ![]() |

Ah, I liked Juno as well. That was a sweet film and really funny in places.

RE: The New Official Movie Thread
Last night went to see "Hunger Games: Catching Fire". Wow that was a needlessly long film. Several hours of emotional chats and costume changes, followed by a short stretch of actual Games. Perhaps they were aiming to make it feel as much of an endurance test for the audience as for the tributes.

RE: The New Official Movie Thread
Has anyone gone to see the new version of Carrie yet? I have to say I raised an eyebrow at the lead. Chloƫ Grace Moretz is far too cuty pie for the lead role.
Sissy Spacek nailed it in the original because she was the plainest of Plain Janes - exactly the sort of girl that would get a miserable time in school if she was also a bit different - & when she went mental on everyone she looked totally possessed. Ms Moretz doesn't look like she could scare the birds out of her backyard.
