I was in the neighborhood today and I stopped by GameStop just to see what interesting games they had to take my mind off of the sims 3. Well, one of the guy workers and I got to talking and The Sims 3 came up. He has been waiting for it as well (how cool)so after chatting we got to talking about the Prima Guide. He said that the in game guide (Collector's Edition) was probably going to be smaller and less detailed and that the real Prima Guide would most likely be on shelves MAY 26th for those of us that like spoilers and would like to have it as a teaser. Yes, you heard me- the Prima Guide will be on shelves around May 26th. He also said that they get their games the day the Prima Guide gets delivered so get excited again knowing that the Sims 3 WILL be in the store, just somewhere hiding where you can't get it
I dunno about you but I will be buying that guide. You better hope I don't sneak into the back room and sneak a game or 3 out hehe. Yeah, that'll never happen......

I think the included guide in the Collectors Edition being smaller and less detailed than the full, official Prima guide, was common knowledge already, but it's good to know stores will be receiving their delivery of the games a little early - but not surprising considering it has probably been ready for release since February anyway
Let's hope the warehouses of the various places we have placed pre-orders with don't get burgled, eh?

Well, before you joined here, we all had a little discussion about whether the guide that we will be receiving with our CE game be the actually Prima Guide or not, so common knowledge or not, some people weren't sure and I was just letting those people know that. If you are a collectors of the sims 2, they have the little mini collector guides as the new prima, and we weren't sure if they had decided to release a small version in the CE or if the guide was going to be big like the older primas.

The one that come sin the CE is a small 100 so page guide it's not the official prima guide of sims 3 which is much bigger.

I hope the Prima guide comes early, and hoping the US Gamestop site is wrong. It still says the Prima guide ships June 2nd.
I would love to read that guide all day and night before I get the game.
