How Long Will Your Sim's Life Be? - yummybunny - 22-04-2009 12:28 PM

As we all know, there are 4 life span options that we have in TS3.

Short--25 sim days
Normal--95 sim days
Long--200 sim days
Epic--1000 sim days

How long do you plan on making the lifespan of your sims and why?

Me. 95 sim days is too short, because I want to play more than one family.  When I come back around to a family, they would had been all completely changed and stuff.

Though, if I set it to the 200 days, which may be perfect, then I can come back to my other family, and they are almost in the same state or condition.  Though I can turn aging on or off for certain families, I want my sims to age at the same time as the other sims, so they can keep up with their friends and family.  I don't want to pause aging, and have my sim's younger cousin be older than my sim next time I get to his family.

Plus, 200 days will give me plenty of time to fulfill my sim's life.  I can have him live a pretty full life before he dies.

I wish there was an option between 200 and 1000, or we can set a slider to set ages, but these just sound like set options that we have to pick between.

I think if they did the slider thingie, A perfect age would be around 350 - 420.

Yeah, that's what I think too.  Or an even 500.  It's a huge gap between 200 and 1000.  They should had added an option there.

It depends on how I am playing. Im a legacy freak so when playing my legacy family it will do with 95 days. If I play more than 1 family 200 days would be perfect Big Grin

I totally agree, if I was playing one family, then yeah, I want the days to go by faster, because it gets boring faster.  It's a darn shame, but after a baby is born, I'm already thinking about them growing up, and their mate, and what kind of babies they will have.

Yeah, I'm a legacy freak too.  I just like playing my sims over the generations.  One family gets boring, and you can go to the next, and play with their family, and grandchildren and so on.

I would go for 1000 because I'm a collection freak and you can't collect all the stuff in the collections for sims 3 with that short a olife span!

Ok well I will have my sims live as long as they can ya no like ok every town has people who are like wicked old or semi old and then the youngins and etc. Also dont forget that even when your playing a diffrent family your other familys will still age which i think is cool in some aspects but in others i don't think it's that great, but you will also have the option to turn aging off Smile which is a nice option to have. I think i would give my sims the longest life span actually so then when i play other familys for a while... they will still be alive lol. I would also like to try legacies in The Sims 3 ... i never was good at it in The Sims 2 so it varies with me depending on how i want to play a certain family.

200 seems like a good amount. I'll probably go back and forth between it and 95.
