"and living in the lap of luxury and swimming in cash isnt that basically the same"

You would think ... but maybe there's something in particular that makes them different?  I dunno.

There isn't really a difference, but probably it is that having a life of luxury means having the expensive and comfy things of life, while swimming in cash--you don't have to spend all that money excessively on luxurious things.  I know a husband and wife that's an attorney, and you can't even tell they have money.  They don't buy name brand clothes for their kids, or for themselves.  Whatever looks nice and presentable for the occassion does the trick.  It's like a refrigerator is a refrigerator, they don't have to have the most expensive one.

I wonder what is Jack of All Trades?

I've always thought that buying uber-expensive clothes, because they have written the name of a famous fashion designer on them or a brand with golden-glitter-sparkling letters, etc... is stupid and pointless. No matter how fugly they are, those clothes are made by that en-vogue creator and wearing them makes you 'cool'. {lol}

Clothes don't have to be expensive for me to like them. I'm very happy if I find something I love at a low price. It saves money for more pretty stuff and I can look around happily that I still have money left and I can afford it. Smile

Today, alot of money are spent for the impression on the eyes of others. These rich kids just have no personality.

I never play rich families. Besides, big houses are bugging my game and makes it crash. I prefer the poor ones in small homes that are working their way up.

Re: List of the complete 32 Lifetime wishes - yummybunny - 09-03-2009 01:02 AM

That's exactly how I am too.

Pants are pants, a shirt is a shirt, etc.  As long as I like it, or it does it's job, then I'm in for it.

Then some of these families today can't save money.  Like some families, be going out to eat like 3 times a week, or so.  Spending $200 or more on going out to eat a month.  Then they are on the news or some talk show, as a struggling family.  My mom is like, "They struggling?  Making $100K a year?  If they just stop going out to eat and going to the movies two times a week and stuff, then they can save lots more a year.

And yeah, it kinda sucks on the sims when you can buy anything you want anytime.  It gets kinda boring not having to save for anything, or have a goal.  Though it totally sucks when you can't afford something.

Edit: sorry about that! c:
Everytime I try to quote something when im using my phone it does that.
As for jack of all trades.... I don't think thatb is refering to stealing... more like someone who can do all kinds of things.
For example: in the medieval times or such... a jack of all trades would be somebody who was good at all kinds of jobs\trades, not just one.
