I just reinstalled my sims 2 game on my new computer and the graphis are rubbish,can anyone tell me how to update the graphics

Well, you can't "update the graphics," but you can do little things to try to improve them.
Start by doing a disk defrag. This clears up a lot of space and should be done quite often.
Then delete all of your temporary files and cookies.
I would say try updating the driver, but if it's a new computer, I don't see why you would have to do that. So never mind that one.
If you have a desktop with a picture or something on it, a bunch of shortcuts on your desktop, and/or a screensaver, these things can also cause the game to run slow and have bad graphics. Try setting your desktop to a solid colour, remove the screensaver, and remove as many shortcuts as possible.
Let me know if any of this helps. If not, I can try to think of other ways to improve the graphics.

On your taskbar, click 'Start' and then select 'Control Panel' in the right column. Then select 'Performance and Maintenance' and then 'Rearrange items on your hard disk...'. Once you do that, a window should pop up with the instructions.

in the game itself, check the settings or options, there is one for the graphics, urs might be on low .. put it normal or high

Really? I never knew that. I don't care how long I've played S2...I've never found the "settings or options" that you speak of. Could you try to explain where it is for me, please?

Hmm i think its when you click on the three ...'s
and then its the one that looks like little tool thingy's and you click on that and its game options and you can modify all that like visible neighbors snow on the ground or not and etc..

Thanks for the help I will use it well,and also the option thing I all ready know that It does reaaaaaaaaaaaaly improve your normal game but it it a graphical problemb that is meddeling with my game! many thanks
