I guess it was American money that paid for the creation of the HP films, so it's only fair that they see it first, but I know what you mean.

I thought HP movies were released on the same day as the UK. Plus, since the UK is 5-8 hours ahead of America, technically they get it first.
I may be wrong, though. But I thought they were released on the same day...

Could be, as I said I'm not a huge fan, although I think I've seen most of the films but never on release day.

America usually gets it a day or few earlier, which as a true HP fan, does bug me a smidge, but I get over it. They got OOTP on the 11th of July, I think, and we got it on the 13th, or maybe the 12th...

Well, I wouldn't know, as I didn't live here when OotP was released (the last movie was released in July, and I only moved here a few months ago). So don't go by my word.
