Noooooo thank you. lol I do not download cheats/hacks. I only use cheats that come with the game lol I'll just say it was a miscarriage if the baby doesn't happen. But I don't believe in hacks like those. Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - Majick - 28-01-2009 02:55 AM OKAY! I moved them out and back in, and she immediately went into labor, lol. So, there is another baby in the family
Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - yummybunny - 28-01-2009 03:07 AM Like how was it? Was it like she was little before you moved her out, then you moved her out, she was big in the family picture, then moved her back in, and she was already fat, and went into labor? Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - Majick - 28-01-2009 02:30 PM Exactly. She was wearing her normal everyday clothes. In the family picture while loading she was wearing the little brown dress. But as soon as the game itself loaded, she was on bump 2 and already in labor. Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - jawztheshark - 30-01-2009 12:45 AM Hm, thats funny haha. I'm glad it worked tho! Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - Majick - 01-02-2009 07:02 PM ![]() Dear Journal, A lot ... has happened. And it's so hard. Because there has been so much going on the last few years, it's hard to recall everything, but I'll do my best. Just ... bear with me. It's hard to write this. Isaiah has gotten so big, he'll be 21 in a few months, although these pictures were taken when he was just 16. He and Gavin are very close, especially now that Gavin is a teenager too. Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me go back a bit ... and do some explaining. ![]() ![]() Gavin was so excited when he found out he was going to be a big brother. He went and told his best friend Candice. She wasn't too thrilled, but she's from a big family to begin with, so to her a sibling is just another mouth to feed. I feel bad for families like that. ![]() Then it happened. After paying the rent one day, I went into labor. This time it was Talin who rushed me to the hospital, Chris and Gavin met me there not long after, and I gave birth to another son, whom we named Nikhil; Chris wanted an exotic name, and I rather liked the name Nikhil, so it was fine with me. We were able to bring Nikhil home the next day. But ... little did we know he wouldn't be home for long. ![]() ![]() After a few days, we had to take Nikhil back to the hospital, the Doctor there evaluated him, and ... the results were grim. Nikhil had a hereditary genetic mutation that was attacking his immunity system and had haulted the growth of his heart. Chris broke out into tears. He had a younger sister who had died from this same mutation. Then the Doctor confirmed that Nikhil would be lucky to see his tenth birthday. I couldn't tell Gavin this ... not yet. He was so excited to have his baby brother, he even made a web blog and chat site about him! He was so smart. ![]() I felt so bad for Chris ... he forced himself to not get close to Nikhil ... instead, he turned his attention to Isaiah ... who I had recently been informed was being ignored by his own father. He and Chris loved to hang out, and though Chris felt like a monster for ignoring his own son, it was the only way he knew to deal with the pain of knowing his son was going to die. ![]() ![]() We told Gavin eventually about Nikhil's health problems, and he immediately started his own journal. He told me he was going to document everything in his little brother's life, so that when we didn't have him anymore we'd have that to read, and remember him by. And when Nikhil was old enough, he would have Nikhil write his own thoughts into the book. ![]() All through his life, we had kept him inside for fear that he'd become ill and ... not recover. We even went so far has to have him home-schooled by special tutors. But one day, he approached us in tears. "I know I'm going to die, you've tried to hide it from me, but I know. And I want to live like a normal kid, I want to share time with other kids my age. I don't have long, I know, but please mommy, daddy ... let me be a kid while I can!" So, we let him go to school with Gavin, and he was so excited! ![]() One day we came home to find Nathan spending time with Gavin and one of his friends. I approached him to ask him about why he was ignoring Isaiah, but he just grunted, and then went into his house. I tried to call him, but he refused to talk to me. And it infuriated me! Isaiah was a good kid, and did not deserve to be ignored. ![]() Then, one night at Dinner ... Nikhil smiled and looked up at me. "I can feel it coming, mommy." I just looked away. All poor Chris could do was keep telling Nikhil that he loved him, and was so sorry he had ignored him all these years. And ... oh Nikhil, he only smiled, and hugged his dad. He said that he understood, and it was okay. We had dinner that night, like a real family. Everyone was smiling, and even Chris was sharing in the conversations. ![]() That night Nikhil sat by himself in the living room. Gavin went to talk to him. Both boys went to bed early that night. Gavin said Nikhil wasn't feeling well. And I feared the worst. As I walked through the living room before they went to bed, I saw Nikhil, staring at his feet. He had tears in his eyes, and looked so depressed. I'd never seen my little boy look so small before. I covered my mouth, to hide the sobs, and ran out into the kitchen. When I came back in, he was upstairs. ![]() A few more years passed, and despite his weakening health, Nikhil insisted on continuing his schooling at a real school. Gavin got bigger, now 15 years old, he would follow his brother Isaiah onto the bus. They hung out a lot more often, and I had noticed Gavin bringing home girls from school. I guess he's at that age, now. ![]() ![]() One day before school, Nikhil asked me to take his picture. He had been looking through the family photo album, and noticed we didn't have very many of him. I had to explain that he spent so much time in the hospital, it was hard to take pictures. He just smiled, and that's when he asked me to take his picture. We went out front, and he smiled the widest, brightest smile I'd ever seen. And ... it was the last. He fainted in school that day, and was rushed to the hospital ... where we lost him. ![]() That day Candice, and another one of Gavin's friends came home with him from school. They didn't want him to be home alone, since he couldn't bare to go to the hospital. Candice, who had known him longer than any of his school friends, said she was worried about him, that he wasn't acting like someone who had just lost their brother. ![]() ![]() He tried to explain to them, and he then explained to us later. He was devastated at the loss of his brother. But that the night before, Nikhil somehow knew he was not coming home from school today. Gavin tried to convince Nikhil to tell us, and to go to the hospital. But, naturally, Nikhil refused. "He said that he's been prolonging his life long enough. The medications and treatments weren't making it better, only prolonging it, and making it worse. He just wanted to feel good for one day, even if that's all it was was one day. And wanted it to be over with." He told me ... I could be sad if I wanted to, but that he would be watching me, and that I'd better be smiling." Yeah ... that sounded just like something my baby would say. Over the months since Nikhil's death ... we've been stuggling. Candice has been wonderful for Gavin, a true-blue friend. And Trista and Gavin ended up closer and closer. I came home one day, and found them in the living room. I gasped, and Gavin just laughed. That was when he told me that he and Trista were officially going steady. And that we'd be seeing a lot more of her. I guess that's good ... he was 15 afterall ... ![]() Gavin spent a lot of early mornings playing on the merry-go-round; it was Nikhil's favorite piece of playground equipment. He said that he wanted to show Nikhil he wasn't forgotten. And that he was playing on behalf of his little brother. Chris and I spent many nights crying, but we were as strong as we could be. We felt our marriage suffering. But one night he stopped me in the computer room, and told me that we could get through it, and that we had to do it together. We weren't going to have any more children, we decided. Not naturally, anyway. We decided then that we'd adopt. Gavin was excited, naturally, to be a big brother again. He thought it was a great idea, although he was a bit angry when he realized it meant Nikhil's room would get a make-over ... because we were going to adopt a little girl. ![]() ![]() Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - Joann - 01-02-2009 07:10 PM aw! That's so sad ; .; He did look like he had some sort of disease. His face was all skinny and stuff. Isaiah is like, kind of hot (: But I feel bad about Nikhil; but still happy they're adopting a girl (: Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - yummybunny - 01-02-2009 07:55 PM That is sad....really sad. I can't imagine the pain that parents with kids like that have to face. I really hope it doesn't happen to me. But he did look like a sickly kid...kind of, but he was kinda cute. But I loved the story plot, Majick. Great of you to add in a story! Stories need drama, and you don't find none like that hardly in a Sims story. I really don't blame Chris for not getting that close, because it is painful. I am usually like that when I have a pet whose health is failing...I just stop getting attached and stuff...it eases the pain when they do go. But I am glad that he did in the end try to make it up with his son, make his life good, as long as it lasted. Re: »»¦ Ãear Ĵournal: The life of a Spare ¦«« - Majick - 01-02-2009 08:06 PM Yeah, when I saw how he looked as a Toddler, I decided to change the plot a bit He really did look like a sickly child, so I figured why not, lol.Isaiah is a hottie! But I just gave Gavin a make-over; he's all gothy, and omg he looks handsome!!! I'm actually playing the game right now, and they're waiting for her to arrive I'll be sure to post at least a pic of Gavin and her once she arrives.
