Re: The Sims 3 Event - Brad5010 - 19-07-2008 05:23 PM woo! bambi sill rox my sox! lol cant wait for tomorrow now! ![]() (19-07-2008 05:20 PM)Sara link Wrote:I don't really get why they are so worried about the pirate download thing. As you mentioned, SecurRom will only make it so a lot of potential buyers don't get the game. And also, even if there are pirate versions (there will be, that's a fact...) floating around, this is STILL the best-selling PC game ever. Don't they have enough money already? exactly! their just money hungry/greedy, which is why i hate securom, no matter what EA does though, people out there will find away to beat them, and hack securom outa TS3, so theres no point in it {lol} Re: The Sims 3 Event - tv_freak - 19-07-2008 05:28 PM i think securom actually increases the chance of piracy or will at least decrease their sales people have found a way to download games with securom so people who don't want securom or who have problems with it will either not buy the game or just download it Re: The Sims 3 Event - killerkenya - 19-07-2008 05:28 PM Thanks so much Bambi! And yeh, one version of SecuROM was cracked in less than a day after it was released. They are ONLY hurting honest customers. EA will never run short of money, so I don't see why they have to have such an invasive DRM, which in the end is going to drive away long time loyal customers, and turn off potential new customers. It's ridiculous. -Kenya Re: The Sims 3 Event - Brad5010 - 19-07-2008 05:31 PM im guessing that this is all part of EA's plan, they made 2.5 billion in the last year or so, and they hope to make 5 billion in 2012, so im guessin they're panicing because they mite not get that much by 2012, so they're tryin to get money from anywere (even if that means bringing in stupid DRM stuff) Re: The Sims 3 Event - Cassie - 19-07-2008 05:39 PM (19-07-2008 05:16 PM)à¹à¸à¹à¹à¹~קà¸là¹à¹zภlink Wrote:Morning, everyone! So in the UK, that'd be about, well, mid-after some time? Just so I know I don't need to get up early!
