The last name is still Summerstone.
Doesn't matter who the Heir/ess is, I always make sure they innitiate the marriage, so that the last name stays Summerstone.
Now, Danielle's last name changed when she married Drake, because I moved her onto his lot before they got married. So, her last name is different, but as for the actual family lot ... it's still Summerstone

And thanks, I am really excited to see what Emily will look like when she gets older, honestly. I'm not sure if I'm going to give her a sibling or just go single-child for the next couple of generations to keep the household to a small number. The more sims, the more the lot lags. Which is why Denielle took the dogs with her when she married Drake, lol.
So at the moment, only 3 sims on the lot, and until we know otherwise, they ARE very handsom/beautiful
