While I don't frequent this site as much as I should, I thank you for putting up that quick review. Though I have one question..

You say there will be 6 Life Stages, one being Young Adult. That leaves one of our previous stages from TS2 out. 1. Baby, 2. Toddler, 3. Child, 4. Teenager, 5. Young Adult, 6. Adult.

Which old life stage from TS2 got kicked from the game? Or is Young Adult optional once again, in a different way? Because an "Elder" stage can clearly be seen in the CAS characters on the main site, and in the E3 trailer.

I was wondering the same thing! Hopefullt that was a typo, because maybe we give up toddlers or something. We haven't seen any screen shots so maybe. But I hope not!
BTW- Becca, cool pic :][/quote]

I'm thinking it really was a typo. Every other place I've looked lists "Seven Life Stages" and not six. It's an easy thing to mistake anyway, I just want to be positive on it. I really don't want any stages to be missing.

And thanks. It's a retired member from a band that I like. Bou from An Cafe. (Also known as Antic Cafe and Antique Cafe, but mostly by "An" ) - He was great while he was in the band. <3 It was really sad when he left, esspecially watching his last live performance.

Yeh, by now I've concluded that it is definitely a typo, unless EA wants us to come shoot them in the face.
Haha.

He? o_O Haha. Well, the pink and the long blonde hair did not make me think that was a he, but, interesting non-the-less.
Heh.

Hmmm. Has anyone read this before?
http://talkjack.wordpress.com/2008/06/22/is-drm-killing-pc-games-part-1/

We should all write to EA about a million times a day, with a disposable account in case they ban it, and copy what this person wrote into the message.
Maxis makes the games, and then EA publishes it and slaps malicious DRM on the product. Stupid. Really stupid.

O.o so  1st they use SecuRom and now this ! wth ? EA's sorta goin overboard huh

oh wait, that is securom isnt it ?  {lol}

Re: The Sims 3 Event - killerkenya - 19-07-2008 05:12 PM

Yes, that charter covers SecuROM too.

Re: The Sims 3 Event - Brad5010 - 19-07-2008 05:14 PM

i see lol well EA still suck for that, atleast 20% of sims players wont get TS3 because of SecuRom, and atleast 10% wont get it anyway, and i'd say atleast 10% more wouldn't like it and they'd stick wiv sims 1 or 2, so yea that leaves a possible.... 60% sell rate (i only estimated the figures btw lol )

Re: The Sims 3 Event - bambigoddess - 19-07-2008 05:16 PM

Morning, everyone! I'd like to apologize for the time typo...it is indeed one second real time=one minute Sim's Time. Sorry, I was posting it rather late last night, and after such a long day, my brain wasn't functioning properly.

Also, when I said 6 life stages, I wasn't including baby. So yes, altogether there are 7 life stages. Sorry for the confusion...I never really think of baby as a life stage, but I forgot that you all do. Wink

Furthermore, try to chill out a bit. Practice patience. Wink I'm trying my absolute best to upload as soon as possible, but you have to understand that I'm on a very tight/busy schedule and I don't always have access to a computer here in the hotel. So try not to get to stressed about it...I'll post when I can.

And thanks to those of you who have avoided fan sites upon my request! Even though only a few sites are here, I'm sure the word has spread by now and I don't want the surprise to be ruined. However, I know that it's not completely fair of me to ask you to wait so long, so if you're so impatient that you absolutely cannot wait for your dear ol' Bambi to post, then have at the sites. But all I ask is that you don't tell anyone from this site what you've learned. Don't ruin the surprise for others, basically. Wink

But please, try your best to wait! Trust me, it's better if you wait just a bit...it makes getting the info even more exciting!

Some bad news - the wait will be a bit longer. I was up late last night with the group, so I slept in rather late this morning. Sad I have to leave to catch my flight the second I post this, so I don't have time to write the full report. But I have a notebook that I can use on the plane to write it, so all I have to do is type it when I get home. So, unfortunately, you'll have to wait until Sunday morning for it. Sad

Until then, please try to avoid all other sites, if you can. If you absolutely cannot, just don't ruin the surprise for others, okay? Wink Also, feel free to discuss what you think I learned, or you can discuss the things I already told you last night.

To all that are waiting so patiently - THANK YOU! Smile I love you all!
To all that were waiting for info today - I'm SO sorry. Please forgive me.  :'(
To all that said thank you - you're completely welcome!

Talk to you soon!
Bambi

@๒ค๓๒เ~קคl๏๏zค: Thank you so much for keeping us updated, dear. {clap}

I don't really get why they are so worried about the pirate download thing. As you mentioned, SecurRom will only make it so a lot of potential buyers don't get the game. And also, even if there are pirate versions (there will be, that's a fact...) floating around, this is STILL the best-selling PC game ever. Don't they have enough money already?
