Guys lets just keep things SIMISTIC not REALISTIC......................i mean a gun in the sims? not very funni neither car craashes and stuff like that..........................all we need is a better version of the sims 2 and lets not get carried away and make things far to realistic and forget about Simistic stuff...........i mean that is my opinion..........actually if it was way to real i wouldn't buy it.................the original idea of the sims is to have another life with stuff that doesn't exsist in our life and if they screw up the original idea of the sims they soudn't name it the sims 3..........

My opinion.
Ea will try to keep the Siminess, while making our little simmies more independent. They need to get out of the hamster cage, they need to interact with sims they meet on their way to work. They need to grow!
Not all of our ideas would or could be used. But there are mods for anything you want in Sims 2, why does everybody think this will change. You want guns in your game, search the Sims sites, you will find them.
I personally make nice pleasant towns, where every Sim is nice and friendly, that is my choice.
We all play differently, and Ea is also aware of this fact. But they won't add topics that will slow sales.
They will let the modders make items for the ones that want to download them.
I think everybody should be allowed to express their opinion, just don't get your hopes up. EA has guidelines for what is too controversial for the game, and they will stick to them.

i would enjoy the realistic-ness...
just as long as they don't go toooooo over-board with it.
yes, i agree it would get BORING :[
i think it would be nice if they added some new realistic things
and some new random things.
