Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - Cassie - 15-08-2008 04:27 PM Oh, a year and a half ago... I guess that makes more sense. What site was it though? Critical thinking and all. ![]() My order is: 1) DH 2) HBP 3) GOF 3) POA 5) OoTP 6) I can't decide between the first two. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - bambigoddess - 15-08-2008 04:30 PM It was a Scholastic reading site, I think... It was during the promotion for the fifth movie, if I remember correctly. They were doing a bunch of polls and tests and what-not on there, and that happened to be one that stuck in my mind. My order is: ...exactly the same as yours! Except, I can decide between the first two, and I pick SS for #6 (mostly because it's the one that started it all). Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - Cassie - 15-08-2008 04:33 PM I was thinking that too, but then I just love the warmly feel of Cos at the same time, so I just don't know. {no} And I see... well thinking Critically (my mum did this in college and she gets it in my head) that may not technically be correct, but what do I know? I'm just thinking that on MuggleNet, TLC and a few other HP sites I've been on, the firm favourite before DH was HBP or GoF. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - bambigoddess - 15-08-2008 04:36 PM Exactly, and that's why I was under that impression for a while. But that was just a poll of one site. Scholastic had polled all the major sites and fans, creating the more accurate survey. Like with science, you have to have a broad range of tests to determine correct results. And that's what they did. Anyhoo, either way, the fifth movie's success has nothing to do with it's summer release date. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - Cassie - 15-08-2008 04:37 PM I didn't think the fifth movie was that impressive, it was hard to follow. I am quite certain HBP will be my new favourite, but... that's too far away to consider anymore. PS: The new MuggleNet countdown is so depressing. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - bambigoddess - 15-08-2008 04:40 PM The fifth movie left far too much out. It didn't flow well, and to a fan who hasn't read the book, I'm sure it was very confusing. PS: It definitely is. Like I said, I thought it was a joke. I don't even remember them having a countdown for it when it was that far away. I think they started it when we were about 200 days away. That's what I remember, anyway. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - Cassie - 15-08-2008 04:49 PM A lot of people thought it was a joke, too, although I could just tell it wasn't. They wouldn't do somersetting like that randomly, it's out of character for MuggleNet. They don't even seem that bothered either, to be honest. I admire that they can keep their news posts so calm and formal, because if it were me, I'd be yelling my head off and flowing out cuss words. I cannot stand to think of WB anymore. It hurts to go on MN right now. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - bambigoddess - 15-08-2008 04:53 PM I didn't think it was a joke when I scrolled down to read the articles, but I thought it was a joke when all I could see was the countdown...if that makes any sense. As soon as I read the articles, though, I knew it wasn't. I actually haven't even visited MN for a while, and I probably won't be on for a few days (I'll be away from my computer, so I really have no choice anyway)... But I agree...I would not have been able to stay calm while writing the posts. Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - Cassie - 15-08-2008 04:57 PM I didn't even notice the count down to be honest. I scroll down too fast to even concentrate on it. Anyway, I'm thinking of making a petition to move Harry Potter over to another company. {rolleyes} {lol} Re: HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?! - bambigoddess - 15-08-2008 04:59 PM I always like pausing on the countdown, just to take it all in...when it was low, that is. Now it's just depressing. Haha, nice! I just might sign it.
