Re: Religion - CaptainSim - 23-03-2008 02:11 PM They shouldn't - and won't - add religion as the bloke who tried to ban sims cos of the nudity cheat could appear out of nowhere again, and shut the whole thing down. Re: Religion - MaiaMadness - 23-03-2008 02:43 PM Just thought I should mention that there was religion in SimCity Societies. Temples, churches and even convents. So why not in The Sims 3? Re: Religion - dfoster1992 - 23-03-2008 02:48 PM In the Sims 2 for PSP, one was able to join an a cult, and eventually become a cult leader. The Sims 2: University also came with a "Paranormal" career track. I can't see why they wouldn't consider a "Good and Bad" meter. If a sim has nice traits they would tend to be in a better mood when they were "being good" (vise-versa). It would have to be called "religion", just good vs. bad meter. I am very religious, but I know it would be controversial even if it was choice in the game. However, when creating a sim's personality traits, there could be a section in which the gamer could choose whether the sim is moral or immoral. For example, you can make a sim that is totally against s3x before marriage, living together before marriage, cheating, etc or a sim that is lustful. At first I thought maybe the Sims should just have its own made up religions, but then the religions would have to be explained and you'd still have to do things like go to church or pray, etc... and I really couldn't be bothered... so I think what stregatasim said makes sense, so instead of labelling their beliefs as a religion they should just have their beliefs, as simple as that. Then it's not so complicated. Re: Religion - Faith - 23-03-2008 03:03 PM That can't put religion, temples, or churches in the game. First, it would ruin the non-realistic game and second, there would be lots of fighting and possible suing over it. I think it might be cool, though. Re: Religion - crscntrygirlx3 - 23-03-2008 03:57 PM NO RELIGION. its a good idea but as someone said, some people will be offended if thier religion isnt in it. And some people are COMPLETELY against some religions. Muslims for example, a few of them took down the twin towers b/c of USA religion, im pretty sure. No offense to muslims, I mean the terrorists and extremists. Re: Religion - nicki - 23-03-2008 04:05 PM No religion at all. Please and thanks. Re: Religion - tv_freak - 23-03-2008 04:25 PM they can't add every religion there is and there are very religious people and people that don't believe in god at all religions will be very contrevercial and might make a lot of people not get the game, which as a company whose biggest intrest is money, so that won't be the beat idea... and the sims is a game ment of us to have fun it's not suppose to reflect the real world and not to offend anyone religious if you're gonnas take real stuff and add them to the sims it should at least be the good stuff after all most of the problems in the world are created by religions (especially speaking as someone whose jewish) Re: Religion - eowynrox - 23-03-2008 05:00 PM this is semi-religious, but i want public cemetaries. i heard you can have that in TS2 but i didn't know how.
