Look what I found though:

Online gameshop Play.com has listed The Sims 3 for pre-order with a releasedate of March 27, 2009. I must comment that this date is unofficial and it can change, but it's the first online shop that lists the game and the first solid releasedate compared with several gamesites.
Check it here: Sims 3 pre-order.
Thanks to 'P3nf0ld3' from the SimsBBS for the find

They are saying it comes 27th March. If I didn't know the real date, I'd not put the game up for pre-order.

Ah ok, but 365 days or 366 days leap year D:

Oh I get what you mean. Yea that would be neat. It is kind of odd that everyday can be Christmas if you want. Wait!! Thats not a bad thing!! Gimmee presents! lol

I hope that they can have holidays, but that may be a bit controversial to some simmers.

I wouldn't want realistic dates, as it would take to long, however slightly slower time would be good! Big Grin

I actually think the time speed is just fine.  One minute per hour.

I think the timing does need to be changed, but I am not sure which way EA will go. It takes so long to eat a simple sandwich in Sims 2.
Maybe they will have it somewhere between Sims 2 & Sims 1.

I like the time speed in TS2

simkid, I totally agree it takes like 2 sim hours to eat a sandwich, it's like...um it's almost dinner time, you won't have any room left! Tongue

Seriously! It takes like 30 minutes just for them to get up from the kitchen table and walk outside. Craziness
