I think whipping would be a bit extreme to be putting in games like TS3!

The player still has more power over the little sim in the end.
Imagine the children getting in more trouble, for something which the player directed them to do. :

I hope children have favorite shows they can watch on TV.
Instead of the same shows appearing on TV 6 times a day, a Sim kid could have something they want to watch at 6 o'clock, or before bed.
I also want them to establish bed times for children. They shouldn't wander the house at 1 in the morning, yet not get in trouble.
Aaand... sick days home from school. Have the parent call the school that day, and the child doesn't lose a grade.. just extra homework the next day.
