I had to drop out of high school and start work at 14, because my father was a miser.

What do you do if you work hard at school but are naturally dumb?
I'm not speaking specifically for me here, I get average grades, I get A's and B's in English and Media Studies but I'm pretty much failing in Maths - being unable to suceed in that particular subject is in the family gene, it seems. The only thing I excell at in Maths is Algebra.

Well, that's quite common, actually. Algebra comes easiest to most people, while Geometry and Trig is far more difficult. However, once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard. You just have to practice a LOT and really focus. It'll come to you eventually.
I've always hated Maths...but I'm pretty good at it. So if you ever need any help, let me know.
